started drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil. In seventh grade, one of her friends gave her a 5”x7” sketchbook for Christmas, and since then has hardly been seen without a sketchbook.
Jenny's practice of drawing anyone and everyone around her evolved, and by age 13, she was ready to move into painting. Watercolor was a natural choice, since her mother (artist Tanya Davis) favors the medium and materials were at hand. Today watercolor is Jenny's primary medium, and she also utilizes acrylics, ink, and mixed media as the mood strikes. Some of her favorite things include life drawing, plein air painting in the mountains, reading, and gardening.
Jenny earned her B.A. in Art from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2009, graduating magna cum laude. She is a juried member of the Torpedo Factory Artists Association. She lives in the DC area with her husband, lots of paint tubes, a collection of antique books, and her cat, Harry.
